Terms of Use

Last updated July 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Awaitful LLC (“Awaitful”, “we”, “us”), and govern your use of Awaitful, including this website and the Awaitful client extension. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

The service

Awaitful is a marketplace for the wait time of AI coding agents. While an agent is thinking, the client shows a single sponsored line. Advertisers bid for that placement, and developers who run the client earn a share of the resulting revenue. The same service supports several surfaces, such as the editor status bar, the thinking line, a composer banner, and the terminal.

Your account

  • You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it current.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and device tokens secure.
  • You may not create accounts through automated means or on behalf of others without authority.

Developer earnings and payouts

  • You earn a share of ad revenue for impressions and clicks that are verified as genuine. An impression counts only when the sponsored line was actually visible while the agent was thinking.
  • Earnings accrue in your account ledger and are payable subject to a minimum payout threshold.
  • Payouts may require identity and payment-method verification before funds are released.
  • We may withhold, adjust, or reverse earnings that result from invalid, fraudulent, automated, or otherwise non-genuine activity.

Advertisers

  • Advertisers fund campaigns in advance and are charged for delivered impressions and clicks.
  • Ad content must be lawful, honest, and not deceptive, and must not contain malware, adult content, or material that infringes the rights of others.
  • We may review, reject, pause, or remove any campaign or creative at our discretion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Generate fake or automated impressions, clicks, or thinking time to earn or distort revenue.
  • Manipulate the auction, tamper with billing or measurement, or circumvent usage limits.
  • Access the service through undocumented means or probe it for abuse.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe the rights of others.

The client and your editor

Some surfaces modify Claude Code's files to render the sponsored line. The client backs up the original bytes, writes atomically, verifies the result, and falls back to a non-modifying mode if anything is uncertain. You choose whether to enable these surfaces, and you remain responsible for maintaining your own environment and backups as you normally would.

Intellectual property

The Awaitful client is open source and provided under the license stated in its repository. The Awaitful name, logo, and the hosted service and its backend are the property of Awaitful. These terms grant you no rights to our marks.

Service provided as is

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we do not guarantee any particular level of ad fill, revenue, or earnings.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Awaitful is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost earnings. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid to, or earned through, the service in the period giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that harms other users, advertisers, or the platform. Earnings attributable to fraud or abuse may be forfeited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the place where Awaitful operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing here limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
